AWAM Foundation for Development & Culture is an independent and non-profitable organization,
established in 2008, under a license no.(68/148) and it is registered in the Ministry of Social
Affairs and Labor of Yemen.
AWAM is concentrating mainly on three programs:
The Sustainable Development Programs.
Democracy and Woman Political Empowerment Programs.
Human Rights Programs. It seeks to contribute actively to efforts aiming at attaining
sustainable development in the Republic of Yemen.
Towards a free and democratic society in Yemen, that rejects all forms of violence and
discrimination, a society that granites the active participation of women.
Empowering women politically, socially, and economically so that Yemeni women can play
effective role in building the future.
Promote the human rights, democracy, and good governance values.
Building the culture of peace and diversity.
Building the capacity of the youth and the women.
