Advocacy and speaking to media skills (for members of Women Peace Partners Initiative)

In the framework of the "Women's Leadership for Peace" project, and within the institutional capacity-building activity for Women Peace Partners Initiative and In partnership with Oxfam and YLDFAwam Development Foundation conducted an assessment of the initiative to identify knowledge gaps and training needs. Organizational and institutional capacity assessment tools were designed to assist the initiative in conducting a self-analysis of its strengths, weaknesses and challenges to develop its action plans and improve its organizational functions by developing a normative framework to assist the Initiative in participating in a sustainable assessment and improvement process.

Based on the assessment results, a training program for WPP was identified, which includes capacity building in three topics: 1. Advocacy and speaking to media skills . 2. Strategic management. 3. Conflict management skills.

The program started with a workshop on "Skills of Advocacy and Speaking to the Media" for 23 member, for 4 days from 11 February to 14 February 2018.

The workshop was facilitated by Media Advisor and Trainer Nashwan Al Sumairi.
