Establishment of Peace Partners Alliance

Establishment of Peace Partners Alliance

Women Peace Partners Initiative (WPP) conducted a workshop to establish the (Peace Partners Alliance) within Women's Leadership for Peace project, implemented by Awam Foundation in partnership with Oxfam and YLDF in Sana'a.

The workshop began by introducing the concepts of networking and alliance and providing the participants with knowledge and skills in this regard. It helps them to think well about the objectives, vision and work plan of the coalition, and the consensus and approval of the participants to be the basis for the starting points of action. The workshop lasted for two days (8-9 August 2018) through which the alliance, which includes a number of civil society organizations and peace activists, was announced.

In the workshop, Mrs. Fatima Mashhour, periodic director of WPP, spoke about the importance of networking and building coalitions and coalitions among local organizations as an important tool of the work of the third generation of civil society organizations for its impact on the practical embodiment of the work of these civil organizations and institutions.

The Peace Partners Alliance will work through practical plans for capacity building, raise awareness and advocacy to promote a culture of peace and non-violence in all its forms.
